Jerez the stage for the WorldSBK season finale
WorldSBK season finale for PETRONAS MIE Racing Honda riders Rabat and Zaidi.

Lining up with Spaniard Tito Rabat and Malaysian rookie Zaqhwan Zaidi, the PETRONAS MIE Racing Honda Team will take on the final challenge of the 2025 WorldSBK season at Circuito de Jerez in Spain.
Coming straight on the back of the eleventh round at Estoril, the Jerez round will round out the season’s action, with Rabat hopeful that he can finish the year on a positive note on home turf. Though not riding Honda machinery, Rabat placed sixteenth in last year’s Race 1 and fifteenth in the Superpole race, results on which he will aim to build this weekend. Competing at Estoril just a few days ago, the Spanish rider put in a best of P13 in Race 1, demonstrating competitive pace after only a few rounds riding the CBR1000RR-R.
Rookie Zaidi has not seen the Jerez Circuit for ten years and so will be eager to get back up to speed with the track on Friday. Like Rabat, Malaysian rider Zaqhwan would like to repay the entire team’s efforts this year with positive results at this season finale.
Located in Spain’s Andalucia region, the track has been known as the Circuito de Jerez - Ángel Nieto since 2018, in tribute to the former rider who passed away in 2017. Inaugurated in 1995, the circuit has hosted many two- and four-wheeled competitions including F1 and MotoGP. WorldSBK has been a regular visitor to the track since 2013, though there was no Jerez round in 2022. The track currently measures 4.423 km and comprises thirteen corners.
Tito Rabat #53
“I know the Jerez track very well of course and really want to do well, rounding out the season in the best possible way. We had a few issues last Sunday at Estoril, but my team has been working hard to find a solution for this final round. It’s a home round for me too, so that’s added motivation to finish the year strong!”
Zaqhwan Zaidi #21
“I haven’t been to Jerez for ten years, so we’ll see how much I remember! I’m looking forward to being back with the team and will do my best to finish the season with a good performance. If we can work hard and make a positive start on Friday, then hopefully we can put together a solid final race weekend.”
