The PETRONAS MIE Racing Honda Team bids a fond farewell to Adam Norrodin
As it finalises its plans for the 2025 racing season, the PETRONAS MIE Racing Honda Team must unfortunately bid a fond farewell to Malaysian rider Adam Norrodin.
Adam Norrodin joined the PETRONAS MIE Racing Honda Team for the 2023 season, ready to tackle the Supersport World Championship for the first time aboard the Honda CBR600RR. Faced with a steep learning curve, the Malaysian worked hard throughout his debut season. Despite some inevitable challenges along the way, Adam was always able to maintain a positive attitude and sunny disposition. His best result of the 2023 season was a fifth-place finish in the Czech round at Autodrom Most, with the rider also scoring points in Australia and Indonesia.
An encouraging first season saw the PETRONAS MIE Racing Honda Team promote Norrodin, together with his team-mate Tarran Mackenzie, to its Superbike ranks for 2024. This decision ensured continuity, but Adam’s championship campaign was unfortunately complicated and compromised by injury, the Malaysian forced to miss several rounds due to a combination of bad luck and physical setbacks.
Appreciative of Adam’s hard work over the last two years, the PETRONAS MIE Racing Honda Team is keen to continue its relationship with the Malaysian rider. The team looks forward to seeing Norrodin at some WorldSBK rounds this year and is confident that he will be able to offer precious support to the team’s new rider line-up.

“I am very pleased to have had Adam on board over the last two years. He has helped us to strengthen the team, and we’ve shared many great memories together, not least when Adam scored a top five finish in the same Supersport race that his team-mate Tarran won in the Czech Republic - a real highlight for the whole team. We fought hard together, just as we also spent happy times together. I am sorry to say goodbye to Adam, but our relationship will continue for sure. And when he comes to races, he will be able to help the current riders by offering support as a rider coach. Thanks so much for all your hard work, Adam, and we’ll see you very soon.”

“While it’s true that I won’t be riding in WorldSBK next season, I am sure that my relationship with everyone on the PETRONAS MIE Racing Honda Team will continue. I want to say a big thank you to the team for the amazing opportunity it has given me over the last two years; I learned so much and gained a lot of valuable experience in both the WorldSSP and WorldSBK championships. I look forward to visiting everyone at the track this coming season, and hopefully I can provide the new line-up of riders with some valuable insight as the team continues to develop its SBK and SSP projects.”
