Toba and Azman are WorldSSP finale ready at Jerez
PETRONAS MIE Racing Honda riders Toba and Azman prepare for the last round of the WorldSSP season

Having travelled directly from Portugal’s Estoril Circuit, the PETRONAS MIE Racing Honda Team is now preparing for the twelfth and final round of the 2025 Supersport World Championship at the Jerez Circuit in Spain. Riders Kaito Toba and Syarifuddin Azman will be going all out to conclude the season on a positive note.
The Spanish circuit is one that both riders enjoy. Japanese rider Toba finished inside the points zone in both of last year’s races, fourteenth across the line, which is a confidence boost heading into the weekend. Azman knows Jerez from his Moto3 days, the young Malaysian rookie keen to harness this track knowledge when work begins during Friday’s practice session.
Known as the Circuito de Jerez - Ángel Nieto since 2018, this track has staged everything from F1 to MotoGP, with WorldSBK having been a regular visitor since 2013. In recent seasons, the circuit has had the honour of hosting the Superbike season finale, just as it will again this year. Measuring 4.423 km in length, the track incorporates thirteen corners, of which five left turns and eight right.
Kaito Toba #27
“Jerez will mark the end of the 2025 season, and it does have a bittersweet taste to it. For this round, we have some data from the tests at the beginning of the year that might come in handy if conditions aren’t too different. Once again, I’ll do my best on track, and we’ll see what the weekend brings.”
Syarifuddin Azman #63
“I’ve had to get to grips with a lot of new circuits this season, but Jerez is one I know well. I like the track and it would be nice to finish the season with a strong weekend. As always, it will be important to find a good direction on Friday, as we only get that one practice session. Let’s see what we can do.”
